All my buddies like to poke fun at me for being metrosexual. Does this happen to anyone else?
Oh wait, I'm not metro.
And I like it when they poke me .
well not really. I have a friend who thinks he metro cause he wears nothing but abercrombie. Wearin that ripped up shit doesnt signify one being metro imo. I laugh becuase he's a black guy who's so into his black heritage and ready to point out any instance of black hate or racism, yet he goes around tryin to say he's metro and as much as i don't like stereotypin and generalizing...acting white!
at people still using the term "metro"
this post made me giggle
A lot of my old high school friends think I'm gay because I spend too much time on my fashion and appearance.. as well as making sure I look perfect (nails, hair, etc)...Even my wife teases me.
But fuck em. Let them think what they want. At least I look good and they look like burnouts.
all the time
dude...even I don't go that far.
Actually I keep my head shaved most the time, so hair isn't an issue.. but nails and skin, etc are.
I'm in sales.. my appearance means a lot to me.. so I do whatever it takes to make sure I look OK.
I have that affect.
Is there a new word?
be yourself. Who cares what other people "think". You're happy with the way you're dressing right??
I poke fun at one of my metero friends, but It's sheerly because he has more guys hitting on him, than girls who want him. He's straight BTW.
I don't have any real room to talk here so flame away, but...
I think the whole metero craze has gone a little too far- shaving/triming your eybrows. okay, that's reasonable (I'm doing it for drag ), but plucking/waxing/electrolysis for your goatee? I know you want a nice clean line of facial hair on your chin, but come on peoples kings and emperors have used a blade for hundreds of years, I'm sure you could get the same result with a mach3 razor in less time if you were careful. Using skin products isn't anything that I see wrong with either, but going to the extreme of "fixing your face" every hour when your out at a club... I know I'm generalizing and stereotyping, but my metero friends TRY to be the stereotype, and not just a "well groomed man"
I agree, some people take it WAYY too far. I groom myself at home, and leave it at that. No need to fix the face every 20 minutes..
