there is no "best" camera. it all depends on your needs of a camera. do some research yeesh.
look into canon's powershot and nikon's cookpix for affordable cameras with good features/quality
Give us a little more info, how much do you want to spend? What kind of shooting do you want to do ( manual settings or just shoot and go ) ?
Might make it easier to suggest one camera to you ...
I got an Olympus D-40, which is good, but may be a little too expensive for anyone's taste (I got mine cheap @ 350 bucks)
D5100 is a pretty good choice.
Thread from 2002
2002? holy shit.
terrible, just terrible nowadays
Dude, go back and read the old threads, they're hilarious. It's amazing how far we've come.
The highest ISO is iso400 and it's grainy, chroma filled pile of crap
And variable max shutter speed depending on the aperture
and £800 holy fuck (the price of a D7000 now)
My first digital camera was an Olympus D550Z that I paid around $300
My first digital cam was one of these bad boys:
It would print polaroid prints
Holy thread bump, Batman.
