Looked like it was on a runway. They probably did a 1/2 mile race. GT-R got gangbanged by real supercars.

The idea behind a supercar is great handling coupled with great straight line performance. GTR is at the bottom of that pack when it comes to the 2nd part of being fast.
Digs out of the hole get you nowhere in the back straight.
The ZR-1 dominates. It is the ultimate econo supercar.
The 599, while fast, is worth several houses.
The Porsche, beautiful, fast, but again, a couple houses worth of car.
GT-R, hmmm, well, the price is good.....
have you seen the type of grip and slalom levels a ZR1 pulls? Not to mention braking ability.

So is LAUNCH control for the corners or what? I don't see the ZR-1 with any launching aids being so bred for drag racing and all.

And I hate basically everything that Nissan has done recently, including the GTR. Great engine, sure, but that's about it. Given the styling and the transmissio breaking, I'd rather have a L28et boosted to that power output. Atleast that'll just snap axles and not gear boxes.
