Mine: Rattling license plates
that one guy... you know him, he's in every crowd... "the expert".
i am that guy, except I only talk about things im sure about, Im not afraid to say "i dont know"
at least put some silicone on that bitch
I work with that guy!
Gets really annoying some days.... I don't claim to be an expert but I have put enough research into it to know whats bullshit and whats not.
do you mean duAl?
People that don't know shit about decibels.
"I hit 198 db's with my two 12" Road Thunders"
Internet brand whores.
200w to mids, 2000 to bass.
eh theres a long list i dont want to type
Sandbagging and claiming you're not.
braking trunk brace welds so it will rattle MORE.
speakers in the girll.
Like speakers mounted behind the front grill?
video monitors EVERYFUCKINGWHERE.
edit: you don't need indash, visors, flipdown, headrests, doors, fenders, ceiling, floormat, trunklid, subbox, seatbelt, armrest, ashtray, console, and headlight monitors!
yeah, it is big in the DONK scene and it gets annoying when they have a car show/dB Drag meet in one and you are trying to hear what is going on or even just not get a head ache.
thats pretty ridiculous
Tell me about it. Besides the crap that has been going on with dB drag that caused me to quit trying to get points, I dont even show up at competitions with car shows.
stokers: those guy who talk big in the store, never buy anything from you... and use what they learn from you, to buy on the interweb.... aka time wasters.
The reverse is also a case of pet peve though. I have tried to support my local B&M store but when they feed me blatantly false information I kinda go .
They have been missinformed on amplifier output power, and its lowest stable load, and how much power a CD player could actually put out, what is a better ground for my amp (double 1/0 to the battery or the body, guess which they told me), how loud my single 18 could get on the AC 180, how I should run my bassrace track in the lanes (how no pause on his eclipse is just as good as pause on my kenwood for bassrace), etc...
I no longer even try to give them business, if I want to talk to someone face to face I drive to the shops of seasoned competitors.
most of our strokers "used to work for" kicker or qlogic as "box designers"... so we toy with them, whenever those types come in... we feed them so full of mistruths, that if they knew anything... they'd know, they just became our entertainment.
One of my pet peeves...
looking at amp settings and seeing high's x'd over at 150+ and the USE of bass boost.
INDeed. I can't stand bass boost...
Railed Gains... having the amp distoring to all hell... maxed out bass boost on...looks like a monkey tuned the damn thing!
Need to get your history straight.
Those are my current g/f's...
