was wondering if anyone knew of a good connection for bike tires on the internet or around houston.
Cheapest place for motorcycle tires online. Remember though, unless you got your own machine, you gotta still pay for mounting and that can cost quite abit.
thanks i already checked them out price for shipping and installation ended up costing more than just getting them from the shop ($260)
try mawonline.com check out their tires on sale. I got a Continental Conti-Force 170/70/17 tire for like $68. And then just get your hands dirty and mount it yourself. Its really not that hard. Took me about 10 min total, including taking the wheel off and putting it back on. Check it out.
I wish TireRack did Motorcycle Tires...
I called 'em a couple months ago, said they don't plan on it
Anybody ever use these guys?
If you have a cycle gear they great for tires. The only place you can get a road hazard warranty on bike tires and the prices are pretty good. You just have to take the wheel off but they will mount and balance the tire.
Besides having the road hazard thing, be ready to pay FULL PRICE at CycleGear.
I consistently go to HeatwaveCycles.com - their website sucks, but they have pretty damn good prices - they even beat Americanmototire.com by $6.00 for my tire (Pilot Power 180/55). $130 shipped from Heatwave - and I usually have my tire within the week.
Before your order your tire from 'em, be sure to ask if they either have it in stock, or how long it'll take to get 'em. Usually doesn't take them more than 2 days. Their phon # is (480) 926-8848
A couple of people I know have used them with no problems...
