lol I'll admit that Elden Ring is much better than Hogwarts. I actually got back into it a couple months ago but the atmosphere of its world doesn't do much for me compared to other From Software games. Might be in the minority on that one

Fuk, new footage of RE4 remake looks really good

It does look great. I know I'm a weirdo, but I will actually miss tank controls. I love how the OG RE4 was built around them and it worked really well. Almost had a shooting gallery type of feel to it.

This is up there with @silkforcalde ’s “Fallout 4 is the GOAT” as the worst take in thread history

l liked FO4 more than most people did it seems (got a lot of hate if I recall), but it's not a goat for me. It's like a solid 8/10.

I'm going through gaming-ADD at the moment, I keep bouncing around and haven't settled on anything. I was playing OG Zelda and enjoying it, but then I got into BotW again because I'm annoyed that I haven't beaten that game yet. I got like 95% done, finished divine beasts, got the master sword, etc etc but just never beat it, so I (stupidly) started that game over, I should have just continued with my last save (game doesn't allow multiple game instances for saves).

I was enjoying BotW, but then for some reason decided to get Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and I started that.

I still haven't even finished Dead Space remake yet, and also I need to finish the Metroid Prime remake! I was having a ton of fun with that, but my gaming-ADD is flaring really bad at the moment so I can't seem to see any damn game through to the end!

did you play it on console or PC? i played both. i would give the ps4 version 8 / 10 and the PC version 9.75 / 10 (the -.25 are from bugs but i was able to deal with most through console commands), everything else was just incredible.

I agree. Story was lacking but the hate was extraordinarily pronounced

story was way better than previous bethesda games. i thought it had some great companion storylines like the android that was programmed to be a film noir detective or the brotherhood of the steel paladin that didn't know he was a synth. the main story was fine but i don't play their games for the main story. fallout 3, for example, has the single dumbest ending i've ever seen in a game. you are forced to enter a super radioactive chamber to get some mcguffin even if you brought along the super mutant companion (i'm pretty sure he's there 100% of the time actually, but i might be wrong there) that could enter that chamber without harm. they added DLC that changed that ending so you could send the super mutant in but then the game mocks you as a coward. it's just dumb as fuck. they just wanted an ending so they forced one, but why in the world would you want a definite ending in one of these games? there should always be a way to play the game after the end of the story, exploring places you never went to and so on.

another part that really bothered me in 3 was there's this tower full of rich people that are straight assholes and a group of ghouls that want to live there. if you can convince the rich assholes to let the ghouls in you get positive karma, but then the ghouls go feral and kill them all. the rich assholes don't want the ghouls in there because they can go feral. i assume the karma thing is for some kind of anti-racism, but if the person in question could at any time become a flesh eating zombie wouldn't you want to keep them out of your community?

Console. I originally played it on an XB1, then later on played it again (but only for maybe 6-8 hours) on Series X, which is enhanced at 4K 60 FPS.

I barely do any PC gaming anymore.
