Yea at least I'm pretty sure it works during those missions. I've also had women flirt with guards to distract them while I sneak into a place lol
I played it a number of years ago now but ya they were the most tedious missions ive ever encountered in gaming

black flag was fine, it's not in my top 5 AC games though. it sorely lacked big cities and the ship stuff had this really repetitive elements that drove me crazy by the end of the game. the legendary pirate ships were cool though.

What are your top 5?

i didn't mind the tailing missions, i found the ship combat to become much more tedious over the course of the game because of the boarding stuff.

Well, did manage to knock it out before RE4 comes out. Took less time than RE7 despite being longer, RE7 had more DLC (most of it awful) and I didnt bother playing Mercenaries with all the characters since there's no point since you can unlock the few unlocks from it with one character. Mercs isn't... bad, but its not like 4 or 5, its more speedrunning based than surviving combat as long as you can. Running out of ammo as Ethan is virtually impossible on Normal, and can happen on Hard.

the RE4 demo apparently ran like shit on the Steam Deck but they fixed it already, so it should run fine on the Deck. RE2 Remake runs great on it from what i've read as does RE8 which I have personal experience with (it's damn near flawless). i still intend on doing my first playthrough in full immersion mode but it'd be nice AF to be able to do mercs mode and shit like that on the Deck.

i have no faith that The Last of Us will run that well on the Deck, from what I've read Returnal is terrible on it and earlier games like Horizon, God of War, etc. have significant problems with performance. Sony probably has little incentive to work on that, but if the Deck continues to gain in popularity that might change. a lot of indie games have been focusing on Deck performance, Dreamscaper just had a patch to improve Deck performance for example. it's really popular for those types of games.

Resident Evil Village has a great VR mode. I also messed around with No Man's Sky, Rez Infinite and the Kayak VR game (Mirage or something like that). The Horizon game looks really cool, but I only messed around with the trial. Probably wait for the price to drop on that one. There's lots of other stuff I've been seeing recommendations for. They released versions of both Moss Book 1&2, which I've heard good things about. Lots of others too, I'd maybe go looking up some "best PSVR2 games" videos and see what looks appealing to you.

To be honest though, don't go into VR with the expectation that you're gonna play it for hours or it's going to replace traditional gaming or whatever. For one thing, different people have different levels of tolerance to the potential motion sickness-inducing effects. I'm happy with the purchase and definitely impressed by the device itself, but I can't say it's something I would definitely recommend that everyone should go drop $550 on. If you know that you like VR though, I think there's going to be plenty of stuff to play.
Sounds good enough for me, here goes nothing.

...err, here goes $1k on the vr and a steering wheel.

I never got around to it honestly. I might play 4 remaster if it reviews very well.
Ya I didn't think you had. What made this franchise drop off for you so significantly I wonder. You didn't like RE 2 remaster very much either from what I recall

I did like the RE2 master for sure, but OGRE2 was one of my favorite childhood games

I also quite liked RE7

I dunno, maybe there's some TLOU/genre stuff going on that's lessening my excitement for the franchise overall

Hmmm I could see that perhaps. Dunno they are quite separate in my mind even tho they both fall in survivor horror on a very general basis

Res evil is always must play for me, each installment is worthy and enjoyable as fuck. RE4 remaster was always day one regardless of reviews which I'm sure will be very very strong

Almost done with Tropical Freeze and I've been playing some Assassin's Creed: Black Flag on the side. Pretty solid AssCreed game and I freakin love the pirate theme and setting

What are your thoughts on Tropical Freeze? I love that game.

9/10 easily

For sure. It’s one of the best pure platformers I’ve played.

I can’t remember which level it was, but there’s one level that’s hard as balls (harder than most in that game), but the motions you go through play perfectly with the music and it’s epic af. I played through that level like 5X after beating it just because it’s so fun!

Thinking quite heavily about attempting the ff7 remake ATM

Apparently it's on ps++ or whatever
