In hatchback form. The 1's style works.
Simply ripping off the back and putting that on isn't really good enough.
What they did with the design of 3 series coupe is fantastic. They need it here; it needs refinement before I'd ever drop around £30000 on that.
Wait a second, I just saw ssabripo's 135
It might be the best at everything, but it's still ugly. It looks like a gawky teenage 3-series in a training bra.
Thats pretty hot! My mom has a 128i vert, im trying to convince her to get some 19" CSLs on it.
will consider 128 as next car
dont you have a b5 passat?
You can get a 28? Is that just in the coupe?
the 128 is the same bodystyle with a N/A motor
I don't think they have that engine option here.
And we have the hatchback here aswell as the coupé.
Yeah. Your point? I wasn't comparing it to my car, was I? I was comparing it to a 3, which I have only just recently learned to love again.
nah? maybe its still called the 130 there?
anyway, I'd KILL a man for a 125d here in teh states, if diesel prices drop
you called it ugly. then i made an attack on your car becuase its not so hot either. get it?
Yeah its the 130 cause its a 3.0 litre. So is the 128 a 2.8 or 3.0? The 135 is a 3.0 litre twin turbo there too right?
how light is this car again?
you been lost in the jungle the last few months?
Well, now that you bring it up, it does look better than the 135. Of course, it doesn't sport a blue/white propeller badge, so I guess it can never really compete.
So, you're telling me that because I dislike something that you like, you feel compelled to insult me for it, despite my never saying anything about your opinion, and despite you not having even expressed your opinion before I expressed mine? Okay.
this review contradicts the other's i've read that didn't really like the 1-series.
It goes. That's all I can say
The turbos on it aren't huge though. They add ~39hp. I couldn't tell you why they used two turbos that are so small in favour of a larger single turbo. Maybe someone knows?
instant throttle responce
bmw didn't want it to feel like a single turbo car. The new trend is using two little multi stage turbos to give it a powerband like a larger naturally aspirated car.
That lag lag boost power thing might be cool for the ricer boys, but they don't want it in such an expensive car that has to compete with large engined v8 competition with linear power bands.
3.0; for the US market all the N/A 3.0L units bear _28
Why didn't I think of that. I should know that. I do know that
I looked it up and the 128 has roughly 30 less hp than the 130, though both are 3.0 litre. It's a detuned version.
Better low-end torque. High-rpms waste gas.
