Lemon tree in back yard. Gf is like “If you pick some lemons I’ll make lemonade.”

A couple of my old af bros drink limoncello and one makes it.

His recipe:

“Use micrograter to shave off the zest of 13 lemons. Grate off only yellow skin. No white underneath. Let gratings soak in 3/4 or 1 liter of grain alcohol for a week, lightly stir once a day.

Strain thru coffee filter. Add solution of 2/3 sugar 1/3 water to taste. Should be about 1/2 liter. Add only cooled sugar solution, not hot.

Refilter if need be.

Store in refrigerator for 1 week in sealed container. Then store in freezer for rest of life. Depending on lemons, gets better with age.“

I sheared about 10 lemons and put the zest in about a half liter of 120 proof ever clear.

Should have lemon flavored gasoline in a week.







This produced about half a liter of lemon juice as well. Gf didn’t make lemonade.
