Downloaded this one last night for a plane trip today. Entertaining so far but only a quarter of the way through it

Read this one last week. If you like the topic of shoes or entrepreneurship it is a good read

Also got a library membership this spring, unless I am looking for a very specific old book I don’t think I will ever buy a book again

“Lesbian necromancers explore a haunted gothic palace in space! Decadent nobles vie to serve the deathless emperor! Skeletons!” ―Charles Stross on Gideon the Ninth

that's such a bad tagline lol

they are lesbians, there are necromancers, there is a haunted gothic palace in space, there are decadent nobles and there is a deathless emperor so it's all relatively accurate but it's pretty misleading. there's no real romance or sex at all. the main characters are just lesbians. the first book is more like a murder mystery populated with ridiculous characters set in this decaying laboratory.

Big D by the Trinity
I'm rereading the First Law books in anticipation of the end of the new trilogy coming out in September. Every time I do I'm reminded of why I love these books so much. :o

No place for older men
Just finished a book called "Dont call it a cult".
All about Keith Raniere and his cult NXIVM. Not only did he dupe dozens and dozens of women, he duped dozens and dozens of women who were worth millions of dollars. They brought in other women to be initiated. Things he did to them amounted to brainwashing and torture. He had an inner circle of women who he convinced he needed to have sex with in order to communicate with them more thoroughly.
A Little History of Economics
The Emperor of All Maladies
Crazy about the Emperor of all Maladies. BIG book And dense enough that I could read a few pages at a time and have to put it down to digest.
