i got the botox injections done today for the excessive underarm sweating due to what i believe to have hyperhydrosis. i know a lot of you guys are going through this (hyperhydrosis) so i thought i'd share. according to the dr, he's been seeing a significant increase of his patience being men of large muscle mass, we're just walking like furnaces. quite a few women do it just because supposedly it's unladylike to sweat especially in the arm pit area. i currently work in a corporate environment and at times during the day i'll start sweating especially under may armpits for no apparent reason, just drips of sweat trickling down my sides. at times it can be embarrassing when being a presenter during board meetings and your entire armpit area on your shirt has a nice wet spot patch. the injections where done this morning (1/13) and up till this very point i have not have one single drip of sweat coming from my armpits. what's awesome about this is that i still smell fresh as if i just stepped out of the shower and this is with no arm deodorant. i wish i could've done this sooner. pros: most if not all the armpit sweating stops no stinky smells due to arm pit sweating no discoloration of shirts in the arm pit area save money on the dry cleaning bill fda approved so it's fully covered by my insurance cons: being stuck with the syringe about 10xs per armpit does hurt a bit it's not permanent, this treatment will last at the most 6 months +/-, go back and get treated again after the injection, no physical activity such as the gym for 48 hours. usually i'm in a pool of sweat when im in the gym. so i'll see how things go this friday. i'll keep you all posted.
