Got a Ruger 10/22 for $199 yesterday, new, stainless, wood stock.

Bought a cleaning kit and a 30rd mag with it, for a total of $230 out the door.

Took it to the range last night, put 200rds through it. Nice gun.

Now to find some accessories. Any suggestions on good scopes and mounting hardware?

I also found out the range by my workplace is actually a very nice range.

Indoor, 75yds, 10 range stations, all computer controlled, $15/hr.

I think a cheap scope is a cheap scope.

Any of the major cheap brands, a 4x rimfire scope would do you well.

    tasco, bushnell, BSA, simmons, etc.

Where did you get a 10/22 for that price? Did they have a 22/45? :x:

I actually saw your post in my first thread. I did check for you. No 22/45s in stock.

They had quite a few 10/22s. Sale ends sunday.

I'll keep an eye out. They said they do carry them, they're not on sale, but they happen to not have any at the moment.

Would you recommend getting a Ruger MKIII 22/45 for a good companion to the 10/22 while I'm learning?
And if not, what would you recommend?

The 22/45 is very similar to the Mk II / Mk III; the only difference (of which I am aware) is that the 22/45 has the various controls & grip in the same configuration as on a 1911. Good practice for a bigger gun. :)

Do they have any decently priced AR-style stocks for the 10/22?
