So I ordered a parts kit like 3 months ago and it's finally going to ship this week. I've heard of people breaking in their ARs by running a rod through the barrel after every round for the first 30 rounds. But is that really necessary? Supposedly it improves accuracy over the life of the rifle but that sounds like BS to me. It would't be that big of a deal to do but I really want to drain a couple 30s right after I get it built. What does WMD think?
