Just so we're all clear, the injury was never even significant in the first place.
From his original statement:

(The torn tissue in my right hand in the area between my thumb and forefinger) is an injury that’s been recurring since I was a college wrestler, it doesn’t affect my punching or grappling, but I am taking the time and the proper measures to correct this now, so that it doesn’t happen again. Jones destroying Evans is what my first reaction would be, but I'm kinda questioning it when I actually think about it.

Something about the way they interact, it's like they know something (significant) about the match-up we don't. As if Rashad was owning Jones during training sessions or something. Like I said, my first reaction is that Jones would dominate, but in actuality I think that it would be a damn good fight with a very real possibility of Rashad coming out on top.

While Rashad acts like a twat sometimes. he deserves better than this. when fighting is someone's livelihood, and they make it all the way up to a title shot, they shouldnt get it taken away because the champ and his manager are as wishy-washy as a politician.
