I still did most of my lifts with a broken 5th metacarple that required a plate and 7 screws. There was a gap between when I broke it and when I had my surgery done(had to schedule a time when I could make it back from school) of about 1.5 weeks, but I still made the most of it. The only lifts I couldn't do were heavy deads(used straps) and hang cleans. I could still do bench but it required me to rotate my right hand so my fingers were almost perpendicular in direction to my left hand. I could only go as heavy as 225lbs on that lift so I compensated with reps.

I also lifted fresh off of a tendon re-attachment to the distal phalange on my left hand. This was much much harder to work around. I had to tie my hand to weights with my workout rag and I had to go even lighter than I did when my hand was broken. I will take broken bones ANYYYYYYY day over tendon surgeries. Those fuckers hurt like you wouldn't believe.

I think you should be able to grip okay. At least until your hand gets better.

As most said, you should still be able to squat. Zercher squats is an option as well as zercher shrugs.
