TECH broke verizon phone, can i use another?

I believe I had the samsung glide. It is completely broken and I was wondering if I can switch to a friends old HTC touch. Has anyone had trouble with verizon while switching phones.

Does my old Altel phone work on verizon now?

I had the tiny little wafer.

You shouldn't have any problems activating another Verizon phone, as long as its not stolen or something. Alltel phone probably won't work. You can use vzw.com to activate a different phone, just type in the MEID of the device you want to activate, it can be found on the back of the phone when you remove the battery.
