I'm fucking tired of eating chicken the same way, day in and day out. How do you guys mix it up?
i just add barbeque sauce
Ive been using spices, as they have less added calories/carbs than bbq sauce.
there was this open pit sauce i was using before and it had 1/3 of the calories that i normally see bbq sauces having and it was a shitload better too. when i find out what kind i'll post it up
Lately I have been cutting chicken breasts into thin strips. I then throw them into a large frying pan, douse it with some hot sauce, and some taco (or burrito) seasoning (the lower sodium kind). Then I generally add half a jar or so of salsa and let it cookdown for a while. I either throw it in a tortilla wrap with some beans and rice, or on top of a salad.
i eat a ton of 4% lean ground beef, I fucking hate chicken. I also get buffalo and ground turkey. I really only eat chicken breasts occasionally, and when I do I marinate them (about 2 pounds boneless skinless) in 2 12 cans of a good ale, usually bass. I ad tons of salt and garlic and some turbinado sugar. I also use two full lemons. When I take them out (2-4 hours) I roll them in cajun or jerk seasoning and blacken them on the grill using indirect heat.
I use montreal chicken seasoning
I started using that maybe 4 or 5 years ago. I have been hooked ever since.
nothing tastes better than stuff + brown sugar
That sounds pretty good... BTW, I just started eating buffalo
I think im using some sort of a veggy seasoning.. Club house..
I've recently been hooked on the marinade I found called Havana Garlic & Lime.
god fucking damn that sounds GOOD.
Dude what do you mean by indirect heat? And are some good sources of lean beef?
lean beef? round steak, flank steak, "minute steak", and look at the ground beef section most grocery stores will have at least 93/7 which is comparable to chicken once it is drained.
Indirect heat means the meat is not directly over the coals, so the inside gets done and the outside stays soft not burnt. Look at Lowes in the BBQ section they sell little inserts for your weber for like 5 bucks
chicken grilled with barbacue...
thanks for the info bro
Don't use the bbq sauce right now cause of the carbs/cals
theres hardly any in the right brand...condiments wont kill you if you stick to there serving size rules
1. saute orange or yellow bell peppers (i teh bright colors
2. add in chicken breast (spiced with cayanne pepper, salt, cumin, black pepper)
3. grill on one side - remove pan from heat - pour in a shot of tequila - put back on heat & flip chicken to other side til done
you can stop there & have it alone or add rice or veggies to it.
Or for the bulkers...
Tequila Chicken Quesadillas
-cut chicken into chunks
-get out two flour tortillas & a skillet (olive oil one side of each tortilla)
-place tortilla oiled side down on hot skillet
-add grated cheese, then chicken-bell pepper mix, then more cheese
-cover with tortilla (oiled side up)
-golden brown each tortilla side & while cheese melts
-cut into triangles & enjoy with guacamole
-pace thck n' chunky
-dash of garlic salt
There is a low carb section. Hundreds of chicken recipes... no more excuses!!!
Damn that sounds so good.
Definetely good shit. I use that stuff on my steaks too. I started using this buttery herb stuff I found too that is great with the chicken.
let the meat soak in some wish bone italian dressing for a few hours (or over night if you have the time) and put that shit on a grill. its really easy and it tastes pretty good....sometimes ill add some red wine in with the marinade if im feeling flamboyant
