brb maxing out credit card
I am almost there.
yeah but it's brown bear
Is it any good for plinking? Whats it like compared to, say, Wolf ammo?
I'd shoot brown bear before I'd shoot Wolf. I'd only use this ammo in an AK or Mosin. Might consider Silver bear in other guns, but I'll just wait and shoot better ammo.
I guess I am an ammo elitist.
Ive heard brown bear is worse than wolf
Don't be jealous that I will be a master reloader soon. Keep buying that junk.
That shit is all dirty with laquer coated casings. Fuck that noise.
So is brown bear
Jealous of your fallacy? Fine man, you buy the $2/rnd ammunition and I'll buy the $.30/rnd ammunition, and we'll see who has more fun.
I'm going to bet the next year's worth of beer that we'll have the same amount of fun and I'll do it for cheaper.
Wolf isn't laquer coated anymore, Wolf > Brown Bear.
horrible stuff, very dirty, high misfire rate. Way worse than Wolf. You also don't want to shoot steel cased ammo with your AR. It's really hard on the extractor.
Your tool steel extractor is WAY harder than the malleable steel casing of this ammo.
I mean, unless your gun is a huge piece of shit.
The problem with shooting steel is that people go back to brass before they clean it, and since steel cases don't expand in the chamber, a bunch of blowby and goop gets in there, and constricts the chamber so that it becomes too small for brass cased ammo that WILL expand.
I don't like steel cased shit....
Like I am trying to say.. I'd only shoot garbage ammo through guns that I know can take it. I shot about 300 rounds of Wolf through my AR and it jammed like crazy, was filthy afterwards, and just overall sucked. I had casings getting jammed IN my barrel. Was a fucking nightmare.
What does that have to do with what I said?
my AR eats it like candy
Buy quality lube, and know how to do it.
I can shoot a LOT of Wolf before my AR starts having any issues.
It doesn't really. Steel casing is NOT good for an AR, period.
I won't buy a gun if I can't afford the ammunition. I am shooting for precision not just to blast off rounds. I am more into the sport of accuracy and quality ammo makes a huge difference. Hense the reason why I am starting to reload.
Know where I could find some 9mm cases of Winchester 500 round?
I would buy this stuff, but I don't have a clue about the AR that I have. Dad just gave it to me recently. It's a Colt, I know that much.
Shooting an AR isn't good for it.
The question is the severity. Steel cased ammo is not going to be 'bad' for your gun.
