http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/templates/dailynews.asp?articleid=9165&zoneid=13 t has been little more than a month since both men last fought – albeit in their own respective bouts – but now WEC featherweight champion Mike Brown and his next challenger, Jose Aldo, can start counting down the days until they face each other. The two will meet on Nov. 11 at WEC 45. A location and venue have yet to be determined. The bout was first revealed by InTheGuard.tv, who received the news from Aldo himself on Monday night. MMAWeekly.com has subsequently been able to independently confirm the signing. Brown (22-4) put the doubters to rest at WEC 41 on June 7 when he defeated former champion Urijah Faber for the second time. It took all five rounds in their second meeting, but it went unanimously in Brown's favor. Despite that bout being the second defense of his title – the first being a first-round TKO of Leonard Garcia – the bout against Aldo will finally move Brown out of Faber's far reaching shadow in the WEC. Fighting on the same card in Sacramento, Calif., Aldo (15-1) defeated Cub Swanson in what was his third consecutive first-round knockout, decimating him with a flying knee just eight seconds after the opening bell. He now has 10 of his victories by way of knockout. Asked where his fearless attitude in the cage comes from, Aldo responded after that bout, "It comes from my goal. I want to be the champ. I want to fight for the title." He will now get his shot when he faces Brown in November. It is no small task, however, as no one has ever knocked the American Top Team fighter out.
