That seems like a ridiculously good price, doesn't it?
Flattop, gas block.. I like it.
Olympic stuff has a pretty shitty reputation. Hit and miss.
You can find a rifle kit for $450-500 and then just buy a stripped lower ($77-$125) and make a much better rifle for even less than that.
I have an Oly 9mm upper thats been pretty good to me. Dunno how there complete rifles or 5.56 stuff is though.
I'm not looking for an AR, I just saw the price and thought it was rather low.
I did see a thumbhole VEPR on consignment for 4XX, though. I need WAP on my phone so when I go to the gun store I can PM Squid about all the commie guns I see.
I'm always thinking, damn, I wish Squid was here, is that a good deal?
I saw some thumbhole WASR 22s that looked like fun for 240 ish...
$4xx is good a pretty good price for thumbhole VEPR. Those .22 trainers do look fun I've thought about picking one up a few times but then I think well another $100 and I can get another real ak. 5.56 is next on my need to get AK calibers, then 308 or 12guage, then 22.
btw if you want a 22 trainer I think AIM and Centerfire have them for $229 and there full stock no butthole crap.
VEPRs are .308NATO right?
So it would share from the same food supply as my Enfield... hmm.
VEPR's come in several calibers 7.62x51, 5.56, 7.62, 5.45.
So it'd be either x51 or x39? and not x54?
yeah 7.62NATO or 7.62x39, there are no x54r VEPR's, atleast non available in the U.S.
excellent. I think it may have a new home, if it's still there. I'm a lefty, so that butthole has to go, what are my options?
Can you find a pic of what's on it? I think all the VEPR's already come with the FCG setup in the right spot to put regular ak style furniture on it. It doesnt look like this does it? http://www.impactguns.com/store/VEPR-VS308.html if your getting that for $4xx I fucking hate you
About to head off to work so might be a couple hours before i can reply back.
looks very similar, with the rail on top and the butthole stock. I'll look again on monday. Thanks for the info.
i own that rifle!
it's been awesome. never had a single problem with it despite my neglect.
Where did you find it?
Well unless its been bubba'ized thats the only VEPR that comes inlayed in a wood stock like that.
I want a VEPR
I wouldnt buy one
Well if its a super and he doesnt want it he can feel free to PM me the info on the shop
