for home defense / sport shooting
what to buy?
where to buy it?
what not to buy?
what he said
10" single shot no named 20ga. makes for interesting spread. err...not that i would know.
If you buy a gun for home defense it's probably going to suck for sporting
Mossberg has better controls.
Going to go play with a Saiga this weekend. I may have a different outlook about my preference come Monday morning though
I also agree
Benelli Nova pump is the best feeling pump 12ga in my hands.
I think they feel weird
I'd get a 500 or 870 first
Mossberg has a Model 500 that comes with a long barrel and a short barrel. Synthetic or wood. Only around 200-250.
too many variables. How much do you want to spend? auto or pump? 18" barrel? 28" barrel?
i went to the store yesterday and they had a Mossberg for $139.
what i don’t get is why the short barrel is more expensive than the long barrel?
AND for some reason they couldn't sell me the gun on the spot because they needed to do a more extensive background check...
It happens. Sometimes you get flagged for any number of reasons and have to wait a couple days.
I seen a great condition used Mossberg 12 guage pump (synthetic stock) for $199 at a local retailer... good buy?
not really. You can get a new one from Big 5 for a little more.
I've seen brand new ones on sale for $199.00. Definitely too much for a used piece.
how do you all feel about the Benelli NOVA?
I dislike the way "grip" on the stock and forearm feel, but other than that they're solid guns.
im not planning on carrying it around or doing anything other that using it for home defense
