Up until a couple days ago I swore off PP work... well I caved.

I know nothing about what are some basic photoshop touches to use...

So here is a before and after please C&C and even feel free to retouch either and tell me what you did.

what steps did you do to yield the final outcome. Can you also shove my chop next to your's for direct comparison?

Your chop looked the same as the original except it was brighter and poorly cropped. I:

    1. Increased the contrast
    2. Decreased the brightness
    3. Altered the curves
    4. Used a sharpen filter
    5. Used a warming filter
    6. Cropped it

    Took 45-60 seconds.

I've made my own pre-sets that I use depending on the situation.

Send the RAW to me please and let me give it a shot-> [email protected]

PP the tree outta the roof
    minor Saturation increase
    Contrast + brightness
Select the sky, and gradient light blue/clear fade
    made picture straighter
copied the left hall, and pasted to right side and flipped it horizontally and blended it in.

Well maybe from here out I will to try it, but prior to wanting ot do PP I wanted the least hassle possible, strait from camera to the flickr email to friends end of story.

So more suggestions on current stuff.
