Nice use of DOF, but the picture isn't very interesting to me.
big white blob on the right is distracting.
Might have gone too shallow with the DoF.
I like this
Nice picture. just not a picture which does much for me.
I don't know what I'm looking at.
The busted end of a felled (or fallen) tree.
thanks for all the pointers
I really do appreciate it.
the pic is unedited, except for some lightroom work
Does not compute. So you didn't edit it, but you edited it?
it looks like you probably didnt do much, but you cant say that sorta thing. at least explain what you did in lightroom
like everyone said, technically, sure it showcases shallow depth of field, and we make the assumption that its a fallen tree, but its not all too interesting and doesnt tell a story of any kind. maybe if the stump looked like it was sawed through and in the background bokeh you made out a woodsman wielding a chainsaw or something it might be a little more interesting(but even then, maybe only to a select audience), but as it stands there just isnt much going on.
Just did some development in Lightroom.
I used the 'boost' filter I got from here then fine tuned it a little.
nothing really major at all
i know what i'm looking at, but i don't know why i'm looking at it. it just feels like a dof test shot, there's nothing to peak a person's interest.
looks like "Fuck you! im an anteater!"
this made me LOL
see, now go back to that tree, find someone big with a big beard and have them dress in red flannel and denim overalls while holding a chainsaw(the bigger the better) in the background and retake the pic. hopefully you get something a little more fun.
or he could be holding a beaver. that would be even more interesting
what is it
A cut down tree. Awesome!
