I'm fat what should I wear?
I hear vertical stripes are good...
in case this isn't an attempt at trolling, here's some helpful advice for overweight males who might stumble upon this subforum:
straw gardeners hat, moo moo and crocks

Jacy you're amazzzinnngg!!! Anybody know where to get tshirts like the ones at Urban Outfitters in bigger sizes? Like, graphic and trendy. But I don't like threadless that much.
you mean bigger than XL?
When wearing a suit, don't wear a belt, and wear pocket square to draw attention away from your gut.
Yes, like xxl or sometimes xxxl depending on how slim.
I'm not trying to troll or anything, I just want some advice on what I should wear. I'm an overweight 17-year-old. I'll be starting college in a couple of months, but I dress like an idiot.
I was kind of hoping that someone could teach me how to dress as a modern teen. I don't want to be too flashy. Just something casual and everyday.
Much thanks to those who help out.
(I don't know if this helps, but I live in the Philippines and we have a very tropical climate.)
Define overweight? I'm 5'11" and 180 lbs. I would consider myself overweight, especially because i've got some gut and a bit of chub in a few places. I'm also 17 and in High School. What's your situation and would you mind posting some pics?
And what's the style you're after? Honestly, if I dressed like some of the people in TSL I'd be straight up shunned for being a fag (different styles, and I'm not azn).
This is something I'd wear any day. I'll switch between polo shirts, button down oxfords and t shirts. Bottoms I'll wear raw denim (imo dark jeans look 100% better) or some sort of other pants (khakis, I've got a couple pairs of corduroys for the winter).
The one thing I've learned from all the fashion message boards is fit is essential. There is a fit for just about every body type that will work. Try to avoid really baggy clothes but also avoid super skin tight clothes.
Also, everything above could be ripped apart by the rest of TSL. Post some more info like what style you're going for and maybe a picture or two of something you'd wear on a day to day basis.
you and I am the same 17/5 foot 11/in high school/180
you consider yourself overweight right?
You've posted several pictures in which I feel like you hide your weight very well, while still looking nice. What do you usually wear?
Polos + jeans = win.
Here's the advice that I posted to another user with a similar thread:

losing weight is the simplest and cheapest solution
I'm 5'5" and 190 lbs. That's bad isn't it? Haha. Geez, I really don't know if I can do it, losing weight, I mean. You all have been very helpful, so may I ask you some tips on losing weight? I'm kind of an amateur when it comes to that kind of stuff. Don't get me wrong, I'm not the asthmatic kind of fat, just the lazy type. Haha.
Honestly, number one thing to loosing weight is to not drink anything other than water and maybe a bit of skim milk. And if you go out boozing avoid beer if you can, just take shots.
Sounds weird, but it actually works.
Losing weight is all personal drive. You need to exercise, a lot. And don't eat any bad food. If I had been eating healthily for the past 2 months I would have easily lost 10-15 pounds just because I was on a pretty intense soccer team where we did a ton of running (body doesn't show it, other than the big legs that haul around my gut).
take a trip to the fitness and nutrition forum AND read the stickies.
Im a pretty hefty guy, but thats an understatement i guess. I used to just wear jc penny sweaters and jeans but now im more out going and starting to meet alot more people. So now im starting to focus on my appearance and have been looking around for some bigger nicer looking clothes. I usually wear 2xl-3xl and i think im a 52 pants size. I like baggy pants with a nice shirt or sweater. I found one site that caught my interest northface.com they have nice sweaters but i couldnt find any good sites for pants. So could i get soem help from style experts?
Dress with what ever you feel comfortable in.
www.casualmale.com has some decent stuff. IMO.
pretty good looking for some baggy carpenter looking jeans atm.
