Got a new point and shoot camera, and am just getting around to really playing with it.

Canon SX100 IS, all taken in manual mode, no flash ISO80...inside.

Only thing at home to take pictures of was the doggah, wife and kids were all gone today.

Only post processing was crop/resize. And took the glare out of his eye in 2 of the pics. No color adjustments, no levels, no sharpening, etc...

They all need cooling off, but they look pretty good, and why are you removing the glare in the eye?

It came out close to how he looked just laying there. He's a red dog with the sun hitting him he turns almost orange.

    As far as the glare..:dunno:

I have the unedited pics still, thought it might take away from the pic as it was more pronounced in the two I took it away in.

Here's one cooled off...you think it would need more than that?

Good use of natural lighting. Images are pretty damn sharp. It's pretty ironic that your P&S camera can take sharper images than an entry level DSLR with the kit lens.

I've been pretty impressed with the camera overall. Does have some downfalls, as all cameras do. But, for $200 it's an excellent buy IMO.

Seems to add a blue tint to his white patch. Though, that could be taken care of in PS, the actual color of him is off when it's cooled down.
