You can, it just might not stabilize too well
I think you can. I'm too drunk to drunk and lazy to find the chart but from what I remember you can.
depends on environment
you need more twist when its cold
stop being a faggot
out of nowhere
BH and Hornady 75gr shot fine out to 100 yards on my older BM 16" 1:9 barrel.
What bullet? Stability is not a function of weight, but length.
75gr TAP shot fine out of my 16" 1/9 RRA barreled upper. Shoot it and find out.
I'm guess the question is to avoid dropping $$$ on ammo that may not shoot well out of his rifle.
Thats why I went 1:7. Not shooting varmint ammo and don't care if I lose a small % of FPS on 55/62gr stuff.
20rd box isn't going to break the bank.
You should be fine. I'm surprised MG hasn't jumped all over this.
People said what needed to be said... just try it. Some 9 twists shoot the longer stuff fine, some don't. Only way to know how a specific barrel handles it is to try it. As they say, one test is worth a thousand expert opinions.
