EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM Extender1.4x

Thoughts?
Shit's gonna be expensive. Nikon's checks in at $6400- I can only imagine what this one'll cost.
I'm saying either 2499 or 2999 right now.

hahhahah you are insane...
im saying in the 5500-6000 range
Yeah, not really a refresh, but something in the same(ish) length that canon's been needing for some time. This isn't a refresh to the 100-400mm, it's in a completely different class. I'm betting it's up in the $8000 to $9000 range. If it's $5000 to $6000 I will get one ASAP, but I'm not holding my breath.
had to put down a 1k deposit.
#2 on the waiting list
delivery in early-mid July tho :/

I think it's a great innovation, I just can't stand the price gouging both companies have started to do with new lenses just because they know people will buy them.
but is it worth $5000 more than the nikon 200-400 VRII? prob not.
