What to get?
i have a coolpix 5700 and i really am not a big fan..its very slow focusing made me miss a lot of shots
i just upgraded to a s7000
um, an s7000 is on the same plane as the 5700, not really an upgrade
from a nikon 4300
Damn dogs, your avatar is freakin weird... that's some freaky shiat, actually
I'd say go with teh coolpix because I'm madly in love with nikon. Beyond that, I don't know anything about the canon.
I'd personally go for an Olympus C-8080, but out of those two, I'd take the Nikon. The Pro1 image is noticably not as sharp as the Olympus or Nikon. Very disappointing considering Canon is marketing the lense as one of its "L" series.
Those Nikons from 2002-early 2003 did not have an AF illuminator assist. Those were crap and the reason why you had problems with its focusing. The 8700 has an AF assist on it.
lol. Seriously though, the smilies here rock. Get the nikon, because nikon is cool and there are like eleventy thousand accessory lenses (fisheye, filters, wide-angle stuff) that can go on the front
You kind of downgraded in a way too
If he's happy, let him be happy with it
I dont belive i did. nikon 4300 to finepix s7000 zoom. I am happier with the newer camera, it does a better job for what i want it for and in my opinion its far better quality.
interesting, how is the konica in this series as well?
FYI the prices i am looking at are like 619-629 for the nikon and canon from zipzoomfly.com
any other suggestions?
I have the Canon Pro1...Tried playing with a host of Nikons...couldn't bring myself to get one.
The Olympus one that someone said in this thread only has a 5x zoom?
If I could get the Digital Rebel (300D I think) for $650 with the kit lens, should I do that instead?
