dont understand it. How can it not just be striped out of the image info?
well it probably won't be in exif info or anything. but even if it can.. the person that has it included has untainted proof that they have the ORIGINAL.. which could help prove ownership.
having proof of ownership isnt the problem.
keeping people from using the images is.
i had the post all ready to go, got a call from a client, forgot to hit "submit", ownage
i don't think it'll prove dick... somebody could essentially remove whatever copywrite info is in the pic, and replace it with their own.
exif or not, it's not like that shit is hard to detect in images. but i guess maybe this is just meant to tackle the majority of cases

can't I just hit print screen, then copy/paste into a new image? Everything is gone then
Sounds about right. If someone really wants the image, they can get it.
someone will find away around this within about 10 minutes of it being released
