I'm trying to recover info from my hard drive out of my damaged macbook (model a1278). I bought a Rosewill model RX-DU101 dock. The hard drive won't fit in the dock. The little metal mounting nub on the side of the hard drive seems to be in the way. Is there a way to remove this? Or am I doing something wrong?

I believe you need a 6 star torx tool to take the little screws out of the side...
I'm assuming you're talking about 4 shiny round nubs sticking out of the side...

Great, thanks! I didn't realize they unscrewed, I think I need to get my eye prescription checked...

Where can I find pics and music on the hard drive? I'm using a 5-day trial of MacDrive which lets me view the contents of the drive, but I'm not sure where to find the stuff I want.

edit: n/m, found it, had to pic my name under "users" first
