so I wanna squeeze an extra cardio day into my week... but I sure as hell can't do any cardio after my leg workout... should I do it beforehand or not at all?

Before as in on the same day? Not if you lift like you've got a pair.

How much cardio are you talking about, and why can't you fit it in on a day that isn't leg day?

I'm thinkin a standard 30-minute session... and I do cardio all other days (save for weekends)... I don't wanna have to go on weekends but I do wanna get another session in.

i dont know if your gym has one, but i usually jump on an indoor rower after working out my legs. Its not as taxing on the legs as running.

I've tried doing cardio before my leg day workout -- as nice as it would be if it worked, it just doesn't. For me atleast. I never get to lift as much as I'd like and I always feel more tired. I'd just opt for the weekend cardio, or maybe play some hoops or something on the weekend so it doesn't feel like your extending your gym time to play time.

you can split it up. Do a light/med 15min warm up and then a light 15min jog after your leg workout if you can.. OR you can do a 20/25min easy jog and end with a 5min cool down after your leg workout. :)
