Cheapest place to buy G5, besides Apple Education?
Apple is like any piece of high end merchandise. The prices are retail everywhere and the only real discounts come to students and employees. Someone will bring up developer's discounts, but you have to pay to get it and in the end is not worth it if you are just looking to save the biggest buck.
So, no, there isn't a cheaper place to buy a G5.
best buy is the most expensive that I've seen. I say stick with www.apple.com
Yea, I agree. Stck with the student discount. Seems to be the best bet.
Alright thanks for all the info. I emailed Powermax to see how much they would give me for my Powerbook, cause a trade in would help. Although Powermax prices are somewhat high. What would be a reasonable price to sell a Titanium Powerbook 550mhz with 512mb ram?
eBay that bitch.
Used or through the student/developer discount.
Yea, I agree.
I get HUGE student discounts from Apple, like I got 400 somin dollars of the purchase of my emac.
i've never seen a best buy carry anything mac (except the new iPods).
the one in Torrance did :shrugs:
