this isn't arfcom
The Troy seems popular and well regarded.
I think I only need the rear. my SBR LMT upper has the regular A2 front gas block
hence I am probably going to have to raise up my EOtech sight? (sorry, wanted to stretch out these questions and not dump it all into the first post)
The MBUS is cheap. Won't be out for a while though and reliability is yet to be determined.
Can't help you there. I just shoot irons and don't worry about BUIS and all.
just thought it would be wise to on just this one rifle. one other one has only irons, the other irons and a scope.
if you just need a rear. Midwest has one ~100. If you want a fixed the Larue ~90
Unless you intend this rifle as a SHTF rifle, I wouldn't even worry about a BUIS. If I were at a range or just somewhere plinking and my optic failed, I'd just pack the rifle up.
I kinda make every one of my firearms able to be used if the SHTF
plus it's kinda pointless to have the front A2 sight without a rear, at least in my thinking
I got a barely used ARMS 40L off ARFCOM for $75.
I've got a Chinese 40L knockoff that works great, but I haven't used it much so I'm not sure how it will hold up long-term. Will be buying a "real" 40L soon for another gun.
I have an ARMS 40L on my flat top AR. Really like it. Other one is an A2 ...
Matech sights can be found cheap brand new.
I got mine for $55 new. It's a great BUIS.
you gonna be on AIM later? i gots questions
I got your mom last night for only $35.95
I'll check it out
yeah, should be
Shit, that's a good deal. She usually charges twice that.
magpul mbus are supposed to be shipping this month. You will not beat those when they are available. In the meantime cheap and reliable.. look at arms, or maybe yhm. I love my troy but they're spendy.
like it or not, the larue buis is solid as fuck and can't really not be reliable.
Magpul has released these pictures of the MBUS, and stated they are "sneak peeks of the final production units that are going through testing".
Here are a few pictures of the front folding sight.
Announced today at SHOT, Magpul has released a spring loaded polymer bodied folding sight. Name the MBUS (Magpul Back Up Sight), these should be released in mid 2008. The pictures reflect the prototype status of the sights, and have a much rougher look than final production versions will. The sights will be available as a pair, or as individual components. The pricing is yet to be determined, but a set of front and rear could sell for the price of some current stand alone rear sights.
