And then come check out the exhibit!
Too many typefaces!
I'd totally check it out too if I was close.
my eyes!! it burns!!!
great photo work tho.
One thing that bugs me about the photo... If its film noir, it would be awesome if you coulda procured some sort of vintage gun.
But thats neither here nor there. Grats on the exhibit still.
the gun IS vintage... automatics were quite the rage at the time....
I actually researched the hell out of that before I did the shooting...
and yeah, the typefaces bother the shit out of me too... How are you supposed to deal with 3 different companies logos with 3 completely different fonts?!?!
I think thats a modern 9mm tho right?
Logos are different than information type faces. Logos at the bottom.
Toss up the photo and let us have a stab at it?
are you using InDesign?
NEVER lay out type in Photoshop, Illustrator is "ok" but not best.
link to work online anywhere?
just some suggestions
Yeah, using Illustrator.... Never used InDesign before...
@ lens flare
Yeah, the lens flair is fucking hysterical!
Updated it with suggestions! See first post.
Center location over domus and move the 32 counties logo to be aligned with the stuff above it.
PS, fix the transparency on your 32 logo.
the multiple fonts bug me, but otherwise it's solid.
edit: really it's the "Film Noir" font that's killing me. Check out the following fonts:
copperplate gothic bold
english or edwaridan script
prestige elite std
seriously pick one font.
you suck at graphic design
Check out some of these posters in the genre for ideas.
Also these fonts:
Abadi MT Condensed Light
Hardwood LP Std
Those should help. Unify the font in the title with the theme of the body copy.
You suck at constructive criticism.
there's like 8 fonts on these!
Yeah, I see what you guys mean... I like the different font for the title though... the rest of the text would look shitty if I used the same one...
The fonts i'm using are american typewriter and century gothic... A graphic design instructor at the college picked them out for me...
Jared, post up the blank image.
The lens flare made me lol, i didn't notice it at first.
The theme is unified tho its all stylized. Not just Horizontal flat text.
