People attempting to fix a problem that doesnt exist will bring upon society more problems than there were before hand, yep, sounds awfully familiar
I just really wish that people would focus on real problems and fix those before meedling around in things that seem to be problematic, drives me nuts, especially since its been proven that gun control does nothing
manditory GPS in cars at tax payers' expense that will issue automatic speeding tickets and a different amount of tax depending on which road you travel on.
face and plate recognition software to supposedly help catch people that don't keep their registration current.
whatever happened to FBI's anti-porn squad?
Id be willing to kill over something like this. This is invasion of privacy on a huge level. Im sure any govt agency would be able to locate you at any given moment too.
Full time job watching over OT
Time for me to invest in a bike pack it with gun and pedal to a south american country and overthrow the democratically elected government and instute my own dicataorship, while quietly telling the United States taht I will support them
I was just reading about REAL ID yesterday, seems like the country is heading in the wrong direction. I'm sick and tired of that "If you aren't doing anything wrong then why does it matter" bull shit.
amen, if I'm not doing anything wrong why do you want to know all about it?
People with that attitude piss the fuck out of me.
where did you get this article??
It's actually a post by a Steyroid in England. I'll ask him for more info on the GPS thing, if that's what you want.
cool, i had an englander talking about a simular thing on another board... so i posted that, and he was wondered where i got it from.
And how are you going to kill over this when your guns are first to go before this takes place? That's kind of one point the letter writer, or whoever, was getting at. Take away your right to defend yourself and then set up a police state and leave you with no tools to deal with it. Just bend over and cry.
unfortunately this country is slowly slipping into a police state and more and more people are refusing to give up their rights. It seems that the police put the fear of God into most people, cause they don't want to be arrested or get a ticket. What happens is then they get even more power over the citizens than they already have, become corrupt and get even more power. It turns into a vicous circle and what we end up with is totaltarianism... The government wants to control every aspect of everything we do, and if we're not doing something, they want to know why.
It's a sad future for the United States of America. If we head down this path, i'd say revolution(if the police state isn't too powerful) would happen within the next 50 yrs.
Hello George Orwell
dont you have some GM to sackride..
If this shit ever happened here I would probably end up going postal. That is just invasion and raping the tax payers on every single level. I would end up being a Freedom Fighter... and so would all my friends and family. It would be anarchy at it's finest.
Fuck all the privacy bullshit, yea that's annoying but what is the EU teaming up with CHINA to make fucking GPS in case "we" turn off our sat's to them? EU planning on fighting America before the Chinese?
yeah that was pretty damn scary
Apparently the GPS project was already a prior engagement between the EU and China and they would just use that as a precautionary measure.
People need to realize that the US has been pretty aggressive in it's foreign relations. I'm not taking their side by any means... but many countries are starting to distance themselves from us because of our foreign policies of late.
Even many of our closest allies have been questioning our motives.
And, this all occured over the last years since Bush has been in office. Hopefully in 2008 we can get our respect back. Bush has made us look like a bunch of thugs trying to push our motives on everybody. From an outsiders standpoint the US looks way to hostile and aggressive.
I just read a story on CNN yesterday where a US Navy Admiral made remarks about Iran patrolling the gulf waters. He said it was being hostile and aggressive,.. well what are we then?
China, Israel, Ukraine, India, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, South Korea are all in on the project
Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Norway, Pakistan and Russia are rumored to be part of it.
That's a lot of people that don't like us, teaming up "in case" they have to fight against us. Seems to me like we need to start drawing some lines and find out who our real allies are.
