Yes it's a blower card, the cooler is all-metal (aluminum) and feels pretty hefty.

I would get an i7 but the cheapest non-F Raptor Lake is about 100 euros more for 2 more cores

I may be missing something though, I don't know much about the latest generation

Yeah they are soldered. Was actually easier than I expected, I did heat the CPU up with a heat gun first though. I only saw about a 5c decrease in temps on the 12400 with 30 degree ambient temp. I didn't lap the IHS though which might have helped a little more. I mainly wanted to see what I was getting myself into before I tried it on the 13700K which I have a copper IHS for as well.

I’d up that PSU to at least 850. If you don’t undervolt it, the 13600K loves power.

I was able to somewhat fix my slow wifi speeds. Turns out QoS is on by default in most routers and that greatly limits speeds.

I went from ~350Mbps to 500Mbps after turning it off. My Tx rate is 1200Mbps, so not sure why it's not getting into the 700+ range even when I'm standing near the router with line of sight.

Nope

This card only has a two slot cooler so I don't think injecting a bunch more power into it is the right idea.

My hotspot temp already gets to 93-95 during games and stress tests. I realize that the "normal range" is 110 or less but I'd rather not push it past where it is.
