You make everyone else look really fat, lazy, and untalented.

Congratulations! I think we all knew it wasn't far off. Good to see it finally happening.

def deserved, congrats!
Long deserved. Grats!
niiiiice, must be an awesome feeling
Sooner or later you'll be giving out stripes.
Hook a brotha up.
Fuck, I know my technical level isn't a brown belt. I feel really nervous about defending this in the gym without looking like a goof, so I'm gonna have to train so much harder. But being pushed in competition will be good for me, it'll make me get better faster.
Nobody feels like they deserve the new belt, when most everyone around them sees that they do deserve to be promoted. Congratulations!!!!
Cool story with my belt (as you can see, it looks very worn). Matt (right) started BJJ a few years before Roli. Matt received his brown belt from his instructor, wore it for a few years, and was then promoted to black. Roli, when he received his brown belt, got that same belt and wore it for a year and a half before getting his black. It didn't fall to pieces because I think once it started getting that worn they wore it for competition and teaching mostly. But now, I get that same belt, an old school WAR brown belt circa like 2001.
I'm only gonna wear it for comps though, I think, and get another one to train in.
Are you pretty much the non BB superstar at your gym or are there other legit phenoms like yourself there?
A great accomplishment most people will never see in their lives.
Well deserved. Grow into it.
