The shooting occurred at 2:56 p.m. Friday on the 4300 block of Fleming Street. Drug Enforcement Administration spokesman Bryan Doherty said it happened when federal agents working with local authorities carried out a search warrant. He said a dog attacked the officers serving the warrant at a home and police fired at the dog to stop the threat. One of those bullets struck the male agent in the calf. The agent was taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition. Doherty said the bullet wasn't lodged in the agent's body. The dog died in the shooting. One person was arrested at the scene. The agent's name wasn't immediately released.
