Corporate Challenge for my company is coming up, and one of the events is bench press (1RM). Now, its in relation to ones bodyweight, so keep that in mind. I need a way to increase my bench numbers to win this competition. I checked my max today, and I am at 225 for 3, 2451RM, so im still pretty weak. Im about 175lbs, and since the lower the bodyweight the higher the advantage I have in this competition, I would like to stay about the same weight. My bench hasnt really been going up. Ive done 5x5s, and I can get those to go up, but my 1RM is still the same. Everywhere else is showing gains. Can someone at least point me in the right direction? Competition is in 3 months. BTW, the winning bench for last year was 540. For my bodyweight, I would have to bench 450 to win this year.
