Just testing out my new TC today.
Looks like it was smoking some grass
bokeh in the first one is nice, what lens?
I shoot Pentax so I doubt anyone would care ... but it's a DA* 300mm f/4
doesn't TC = teleconverter? exif says those are all at 300mm f/4 so i'm just confused
The camera doesn't calculate the specs from teleconverter, it just reads the data from the lens. So the EXIF reads f/4 @ 300mm but in reality, it's f/5.6 at 420mm.
i see what you did there
the first one is my favorite
Didn't notice that
Nice! I'd love to do some hawk shooting but I know nothing about bird watching, or how to find them, nor do i have a long enough lens
Sweet lens. It's good to see another Pentax shooter here.
Try cropping them really tight and see what it looks like.
Thanks. I really don't know anything about bird watching either, but I found myself getting into it after getting my 300mm prime. I just walk around parks and go through hiking trails. I'm sure if you do some searching online you can find out where the best locations are to find different type of birds in your area. For best chances, walk around quietly and wear darker clothes. If you're patient enough to wait around, you'd be surprised how close birds will get to you.
I guess I'll whore some of my other bird captures
I like bird shots. Nice ones. I'm always shooting the turkey vultures in my backyard, but don't get very many interesting ones.
