TECH Creating apps

Was wondering today what you actually need to create an app.

Found out you have to pay $99 to apple for use of their software.

Some programming and design.

couldn't really find any site that gave good step by step instructions


So i was wondering if there was anyone on OT that had some experience in creating apps. I'm going to try to make something really simple just to see how it works right now, maybe i'll post it up on here later.

if you have an iphone / ipad, there's some free programming ebooks in the ibooks store

sign up for the dev program (free)
download the sdk (free)
they have a shit ton of basics and starter files you can download (free)
look on itunes for programming help on Objective-C (free)

only time you have to pay the $99 is if you want to test it on an iphone/ipod touch or if you want to publish... other wise, you can test on your computer on the simulator...
