No surprise, the majority of FFL's aren't looking to lose there license or goto jail but in any type of business there will always be a few shady charectors just wanting to make a buck.
A few people will always be there to ruin it for everyone else that are following rules. It happens for everything, guns are more sensational
location, location, location...
elliots already got shut down
holy what the fuck
So ... go after the bad apples, end of story.
Just another story pushed out there to drum up support for more stringent gun laws. Amazing out of all the law abiding, upstanding gun shops there are a few bad ones.
hard to regulate. If a female comes in to purchase a firearm, and there are within legal constraints of the timeframe required to wait between purchases, they pass the background screening, and they certify it is not a straw purchase, then there's no reason to punish the gun store.
If in a sting operation you demonstrate that the employees are coaching how to get around certain gray areas, or you can demonstrate that a prudent person working in the shoes of the employee would have known the purchase to be unlawful (due diligance) then you should take action against the establishment. However, you need to demonstrate these points before you change a law, or shut down a business.
Some gas stations still sell cigarettes to minors. *gasp*
Shut all gas stations down or ban them from selling cigarettes altogether.
Or do background checks for people who want to buy cigarettes.
