Apparently during his talk with Mirko “CroCop” Filipovic last week, Lorenzo Fertitta did something right. He was able to persuade the Croatian into coming back to the UFC although Mirko was reportedly going to sign with the Japanese fight organization DREAM. After his fight at Ufc 102 with Justin McCulley was canceled, Junior Dos Santos is opponentless and will not have a replacement in time for the bout. That is not always a bad thing though, instead of fighting on an undercard at 102, Dos Santos will be on the main card at 103. Strangely enough, Dos Santos seems oddly confident that he will be fighting CroCop at Ufc 103. Junior tells Brazilian website, Portal das Lutas that he will be fighting at Ufc 103: “I think I’ll fight September 19,” said the Black House fighter. “They took me off the August 29 show. My opponent’s changed. I’ll probably face Cro Cop. If I beat him I’ll be in really good standing. If that’s truly the case, I’m guaranteed on the main card and in the main event of the evening. If I were to fight now it wouldn’t be on the main card.” Junior Dos Santos (8-1) is coming off a 3 fight win streak with recent TKO’s of Fabricio Werdum and Stefan Struve Ex-PRIDE champion, Mirko CroCop (25-6) gained a controversial win over Mustapha al Turk at UFC 99 and a victory over the Korean giant, Hong Man Choi. Choi is over seven feet tall, is that even fair? Regardless Mirko finished him with a leg kick of all things. "CroCop" vs Junior Dos Santos at Ufc 103?
