Why does my ass hurt more when I'm on the Kickr? I need extra padding.
Because you don’t get to move around like you normally would out on the road. I’ve seen some people use rocker plates which are supposed to give you a better road feel simulation. But basically just gotta suck it up and build that taint strength

What I figured. Solution? Pause ride every few miles and hop off for a min or 2?
I don’t do that. I just periodically stand even if it’s a low effort out of the saddle time of 15, 20 seconds. You might also need to tweak your position a bit? I don’t usually start feeling it till 50 or so minutes into a trainer ride if I have not been out of the saddle.
For example, today I started with some z2 warmup and some vo2 longer intervals, 2-4 min all sitting. At about 50 minutes my ass was feeling it a bit so I got out of the saddle for 20 seconds. Then the last hour was basically sprint intervals so I was out of the saddle every minute or two for those and no issue at that point.

I’m still casually shopping for a new road bike, knowing that everything is back orders only with delivery dates largely unknown.

Just now I go to check out the Ribble Ultra SL again….last week this was $4,700, now $7,200 and not shipping until Dec ‘22 Last month when I started shopping they said May deliveries :wtc:

Last night I was looking at the new colors specialized had for the Tarmac SL7 expert Di2 and idk if I’m missing something but it’s up $2800 (5.5k-8.3k) in a couple months with Roval C38s being the only change.

edit: Ultegra R8000 - > R8100 also

Wait til we get to the climbing stage(s). :naughty:

Bologna is also pretty intense for such a short course if they include it on one of the short rides.
Well Im definitely not doing AdZ, that might kill me.

guess i'm not going to get that any time soon. i'd expect more than c38s too.
Looks like Giant only raised prices by about 6%.

Allied is up only a few percent. I’d take an allied over specialized. Normally allied is 30% more money but not anymore.
