I don't do gels. Just Peanut M&Ms. Like an obscene amount. People ask me when they notice how often I buy them if they are all for me. "No, I give my wife a handful" is my canned response if you have the balls to ask me shit like that.Looks like The Feed and SiS are now conjoined and more expensive than before, ugh. What high-carb gels are you bros into?

That Bianchi is a cool bike.I'm really wanting to check out one of those Canyon gravel bikes, but the build I want is about $5500K
I've got three bikes currently - a hard tail mtb (Salsa Timberjack), a goofy (but awesome) single speed CX bike (Bianchi Roger), and my default commuter normal every day rider a, Fuji Cross 3.0 that I've had forever and have put tens of thousands of miles on.
The problem is that my Fuji is the only practical bike for everyday riding but it's all aluminum and it's harsh as fuck (especially on surfaces I find myself on). It was my first "real" bike and I love it and all, but I'm just kinda over it at this point.
I really want something that can handle rough pavement / gravel with ease and sits a bit more upright, but still has drops, and something a little different than my other CX bikes.
My wallet is telling me no, but my body, my body is telling me yes.

Still have some left over GUs and honey stingers but I plan on making a mixture in these little reusable pouches we have for our kids soon.Looks like The Feed and SiS are now conjoined and more expensive than before, ugh. What high-carb gels are you bros into?

Don't get me wrong, I'm always a fan of spending money for more bike stuff. But don't be surprised if switching from aluminum to carbon makes less of a difference than a better pair of bibs, gel under the bar tape, and/or sizing up & airing down tires.
I took the hummingbird water pill last year and am not looking backLooks like The Feed and SiS are now conjoined and more expensive than before, ugh. What high-carb gels are you bros into?
Which part of the bay so you ride? I'm probably bringing my gravel bike this year with nobbies the hostel in Los Altos.New Bike Day!
Trek Domane SLR 9 etap View attachment 305276
I ordered this through their "Project One" program, which allows you to customize what you want. For example, this paint mix is not offered on their regular Domane models. I also change the wheels from 33 to 51. when the tires come in they will swap them for me for a tan/brown wall which I think goes well with the color of the bike.
groupset is SRAM Red. this is my first bike with electronic shifting. crank also has a power meter built in that I'll have to figure out how to use.
looking forward to some fun riding this long weekend!!!
** edit -- my wife just saw my new bike and said "you paid all that money for custom paint to make it look like a battery?" LOL
Should have told her that if your intent was to go there you'd have gone Dura-ace!my wife just saw my new bike and said "you paid all that money for custom paint to make it look like a battery?" LOL
You can only buy their stuff through The Feed. SiS frequently did sales but I guess that is over and you can basically only buy ale carte? Previously a 30 pack of gels cost me $40 and now it's $55. Their Noontropics stuff is now more cost reasonable comparing $/CH, though. 46g CH is $2 with the black wrapper stuff; 22g CH for $1.85 with the classic Go gels.So SiS merged with another co? I'm trying to decipher what the fuck is going on there?
I have been using SiS for awhile, I like them better than HAMMER and GU.
Yea, that looks like a god awful mess to visit. Is it possible to enjoy riding in the Tampa area? We have a family condo down there but it looks like it would take hours to get away from stop and go traffic.
