I may have an unfortunate dilemma tomorrow morning. Ride 60-70 miles outside, where they keep revising the temperature down. Originally it was start the morning at 40. With a fairly quick warm up to 50. Now it's star the ride at 34 with a warmup to 40.
Or I ride for 3 hours on the trainer :hs:
Yep, in the same boat here. Think I'll do today's 90min trainer road workout, and 2hr inside again tomorrow

That's a little big for my taste, but I just rely upon Bicycle Rolling Resistance.com or whatever. The premium account is worth it.
Now try 32s :naughty:

I've rode 32c Gravelking slicks the past couple of years as an all-around tire. So comfortable and a respectable (measured) weight of 290g.

I rock 32c schwalbes on my ‘road wheelset’ on my steel gravel bike. I have 25+ KOMs with that setup. It’s awesome.

Wellllll, I guess it's trainer. They just dropped the overnight low to 28 now. Will be 30 at 7am.

Same thing is happening here. 24° at 7 AM now, with 4 mph winds. It’s going to get up to 55° by noon, but with 20 mph winds… Sucks.

Our high is now 45 tomorrow and cloudy all day. I guess the good news is trainer rides are a lot more efficient/effective. I'll do the first 2 hours at z1/z2 and then do some intervals during the last hour.

During the week my cutoff is usually 40 degrees. An hour on the trainer is less suffering than being that cold. But on weekends when I have time to ride more, I’ll bundle up and suck it up. Not much sounds less appealing than 3+ hours on the trainer.

dunno what these have been going for lately. I've bought a lot from here and you can get 8% back through Active Junky

I don't disagree, but 27 overnight with off and on precipitation means there's a small chance of icy patches on road/rec paths. I'm just not wanting to deal with that shit. I agree outside > inside. Just not tomorrow :wtc:

I hate riding on the trainer for the most part.

But I do it anyway.

Dude, I'm in the same boat. I was doing pretty okay up until about 2 weeks ago, and fell off a cliff. As soon as I'm over this cold, I really need to push myself to get back on.

Interesting stuff at 12, 17, and 23 minutes about VO2 training.
Listened thanks for posting. Makes a lot of sense, I've been doing TR in the offseason and it's not bad but I've noticed some changes. Last year I built my own workouts in Zwift and seemed to do well with that. Some of what they're talking about here, I was just doing because it made sense to me. I'm going to make a few changes based on this listen.
