in for buying your d700 for a deep discount when you sell it to buy this!
never happen. I wish I had another $1000 right now, because I'd be posting my new D3 rather than the D700. $4100 on B&H.
too rich for my blood
I don't really follow Nikon rumors. Cliffs on the rumored specs of this thing?
24.4MP is all I know... and if its the sensor in the Sony A900 and its not changed up, you're better off buying a D3 or D700.
I read somewhere that Sony was not going to sell their sensors to anyone else anymore.
Pretty sexy. I'd be stoked if I shot Nikon
as in... no more Nikon using Sony sensors?
you're either an idiot or an attention whore of the wrong kind... my guess, both.
That was my impression. Let me find the link.
It was from NR.
I heard it was a Kodak sensor?
any proof of that?
Not saying Kodak has bad sensors, but the MP rating of 24.4 seems to match up w/ the A900 Sensor.
Zero proof. Just rumors I was reading. I hope it's something besides the Sony sensor but that sensor does have the exact resolution it appears the D3x will have so it would make sense it's the same.
cost too much monies
I thought the Sony 24mp sensor wasn't that great.
I mean, ya ya it's 24mp and all, it just wasn't GRRRRRRRREAT in the same way the D3 sensor was.
exactly my point. maybe I should've held out and bought a D3 after the announcement. D3s are already in the low 4k range.
just return the D700 and do it... you know you wanna
why? want to give me another $1400 real quick?
Nikon can't make their own sensors?
That is a very good and legitimate question, and the short answer seems to be "no".
Nikon made their own sensors in the D2H.

Interesting part on the sensor...
