One of my LCpl's made the news in a not so good way... http://kdka.com/local/Marine.charged.disappearance.2.618104.html Police: Marine Met North Side Teen Online PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― A Marine is behind bars after he allegedly came to Pittsburgh, spent the night in a hotel with a North Side teenager he met online and hopped on a Greyhound bus with her before being arrested in Harrisburg. Investigators say Lance Corporal Johnathon Plaisance, 20, who was stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, began chatting with the 13-year-old girl a few months ago. Military officials say Plaisance, originally from Louisiana, was trained as an intelligence communication officer and was on active duty. The girl's family reported her missing early Christmas morning. After a day-long investigation, authorities determined Plaisance traveled to Pittsburgh on Christmas Eve. The two spent the night in an O'Hara Township hotel room that was booked about a month ago. On Christmas morning, Plaisance and the girl boarded a Greyhound bus and headed east on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. He was arrested at a bus station in Harrisburg. Plaisance gave the teenager a diamond engagement ring and proposed to her. She accepted. Investigators think they have a solid case. According to the police criminal complaint: "Information obtained off the victim's personal computer found she was recently chatting with an individual identified as Johnathon Plaisance." They found that, "Two pornographic movies were registered to room 119 ... the room where Plaisance was registered." Experts say in this Internet age, these types of crimes are becoming more frequent. Meantime, Plaisance is being held on $75,000 straight bond at the Allegheny County Jail.
