I knew once they got out of the mall, it would be so much fucking better
I liked most parts of the film.
i'm hoping to see it tomorrow or the next day.
Best movie of the year. The zombie thing has been far overdone, but this movie pulled it off the best, IMO. A must see
Just got back. Without spoiling it, the movie was really good.
Are rent-a-cops even allowed to have guns in real life?
That was the first thing I though when I saw em.
Some do. It depends where you're at.
I still don't like zombies that can run super fast. It's sort of lame, like 28-days. There was a feeling of the old Dawn of the dead in certain parts. Especially when the infected (bitten) people would slowly die. They would die, and rise about 10 seconds later.
Resident Evil 2 is also due out this year I believe..
Damn good movie, by far the best representation of the genre from the past few years.
I just read that it was filmed in my town
Resident Evil ends the same way Day of the dead begins.
I'll bet you anything this film took RE2's script, changed a couple things, and they finished production/editing earlier.. . Always happens .. You see different studios come out with similar themed/scripted films in short time competing with each other
hope it's C L
enjoyed the 1st one
It's based on a movie called "Dawn of the Dead" by George Romero? It's an adapted version of that script. Plus there are no malls in RE: Apocalypse
RE: Apocalypse is coming out in like June, I think.
This movie was awesome very true to the original concept, esp. with the breaks with 'silly music' and the part where they're all screwing around.
I couldn't understand his message. If he's saying the Dawn of the dead is a knock-off of RE2, then
Oh, and I agree with you to a certain extent. They did pay homage to many of the aspects of the original Dawn of the dead, which was very cool.
In 28 Days Later, when did it say they were zombies? They were just infected with a virus that made them angry. Never said they were dead that I recall so that's probably why they could run fast.
As for DotD they made them fast because they wanted to be action packed, which I don't nessecarily agree with. (No heart pump = no blood circulation = how run fast?)
I like how they thanked the CDC in the credits...
now RE2 is gonna bomb
I know, but it was played off like a new zombie film. The people were deadish though.
Oh, and the reason why zombies are fast these days is because of the audience's attention deficit disorder. Things have to move pretty quickly, or the audience will walk out or fall asleep. I'd like to see a zombie movie where the zombies aren't sprinting as fast as a car.
Agreed. They're not scary because they chase you down, they're scary b/c the disease spreads exponentially and they have the numbers.
But RE: Apoc should have good old fashioned slow shambling zombies.
