Looks like it is official. Dec. 6.
time to whip out the pacquiao shirt again...
doesn't de la hoya have a pretty hefty size advantage?
A huge advantage. This is a safe fight for him.
i dunno. i just played as pacquiao in fight night 3 and beat de la hoya i say he takes it. took out mahammud ali too. turns out they're both pussies
wtf freakshow Pacquiao too small... whos is promoting this fight DSE/PRIDE?
and Pac is only getting 35% of the cut.
Pac getting 35% is a huge pay day for him.....HUGE....
This is a weird fight, for me.
The sheer amount of weight that each fighter has to adjust makes it hard for me to call it. Pacman up two weight classes, like, is that still Pacman? Can he maintain his speed and precision? Can de la Hoya maintain coming down that far?
His DESTRUCTION of David Diaz in June showed that he hasn't lost a step moving up to Lightweight, but, I can't make a definite call on how much farther he can go.
Either way, I'm a huge fan of Pacquiao and I would love to see him win this fight, although, it feels to me that de la Hoya is a slightly more winning Ken Shamrock now.
It will be exciting, at least that's for sure.
well de la hoya is fighting the best out there...
cant blame the guy even though size wise, this is a little absurd.
What does that mean?
You think Oscar walks around at 155 and Pac is the only fighter that cuts weight for fights?
what are they going to fight at?
Its odd that he doesn't want to make a fight with either of the top 2 at welterweight which is by far the deepest division in boxing right now or that he doesn't go to 160 and fight Kelly Pavlik.
You know guys that are almost the same size as him.
this might be the first boxing match i watch all year.
That's sad there have been a bunch of great fights this year.
I agree, but I've lost all interest in boxing for a while now. It needs more grabbing and rolling around.
You know I don't have a wife, but I do have a yellow belt!
Go post in my new training log thread.
Check out the Katsidis Diaz fight on HBO next weekend after the UFC or something. Two guys who put there heads down, move forward, and throw bombs all night.
I wish I had HDnet here I would never leave my house.
who that that this fight would be a good idea?! De La Hoya doesn't stand a chance in hell!
